Cheeseburger:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 slices of cheese
4 hamburger buns
Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.)
Directions:
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 4 equal patties.
Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
Assemble the burgers with the cooked patties and desired toppings.
Macaroni and Cheese:
. 1 tsp elbow macaroni
.4 tsp butter
. 4 tsp flour
.2 cups milk
. 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
. Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cook the macaroni according to package directions.
In a separate pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk constantly for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
Drain the cooked macaroni and add it to the cheese sauce. Stir to combine.
Transfer the macaroni and cheese to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Fried Chicken:
4-6 chicken pieces (breasts, thighs, or drumsticks)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
Preheat a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Add enough oil to the skillet or deep fryer to cover the chicken pieces. Fry the chicken for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Drain the fried chicken on a wire rack or paper towels before serving.
Chocolate Chip Cookies:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
